Woodson Earns 25th Virginia Honor Band Award

Yesterday, the Symphonic Band performed their Assessment program at Lake Braddock SS and earned straight superior ratings from every judge, and all A’s in every sub-category.  The judges feedback was overwhelmingly positive and encouraging of the outstanding performance quality they demonstrated.  Bravo to those students on a job well done!!
That rating, along with the marching band’s superior rating at their state marching assessment in the fall, has earned the W.T. Woodson band program their 25th Virginia Honor Band award with this year being the 10th consecutive year of earning that award.  At some point soon, I’ll receive a decal from the activities department to apply to our banner in the band room.
