Help with Aug. 31 Football Game
The band and guard needs lots of help during our first football game on Aug. 31–and you get free admission! Please check the signups for concessions, pit crew, chaperoning, uniforms, and safety monitor.
CONCESSIONS:
Selling concessions at all home football games is one of the largest fund raisers for the band. We need lots of parents from both color guard and band to help staff the stands. No prior experience is needed and we have lots of experienced folks to show you the ropes. We again have some teen slots this year if your teen needs some volunteer service hours. You don’t have to work the whole game as there are plenty of slots before and after the game for set up and clean up. We will take turns watching our kids at the half time shows. This is a great way for new parents to meet veteran band parents and did we mention that you get into the games for FREE? And we have the only flush toilet on site, along with the warmest seats in the house when it’s cold…come down and enjoy the games with us.

PIT CREW:
The WT Woodson Marching Cavaliers needs YOU to help our fine percussion ensemble and field prop get on and off the field for the half time show as well as help transport equipment to and from the stadium. You can get into the games for FREE, wear your own cool blue band shirt and jacket, and get to know a great bunch of people. Many hands make light work and we will train you in the ways of Woodson Pit. Please include your email in the comments so you can get further instructions from Sean before the game.

CHAPERONE, UNIFORMS, SAFETY MONITOR:
Below you will find various opportunities to volunteer. You can, if you want, sign up for more than one thing. Often people will do uniform and chaperone or uniform and concessions. Since we are all with the kids when they are getting their uniforms on we can have some chaperones do double duty.
NEW position added-Parking lot Safety Monitor – Safety Monitors will stand at entrances of parking lots. When band moves into area they will block traffic from moving near the students. We added this position because we don’t have enough chaperones to cover all these areas as well as march with the band. Report to chaperones before the end of the game for specific assignment and flashlight.
