Important Notes

**ENSURE STUDENTS BRING WHITE T-SHIRT, BLACK SOCKS and MARCHING SHOES TO
REHEARSAL!! (or any other items needed for performance) **

Immediately after rehearsal, students will do a uniform check and place all required marching items in their red garment bags with the provided ziplock bag. They will swap Cavalier Marching Tops for the Intersect Show Tops on the garment bag hangers and ensure all required items are stored in the garment bags ready for loading into transport trucks. This will ensure nothing is left at home that is needed for the performance (uniform wise) and we
can quickly load the garment bag racks onto the transport trucks on Friday.

  • There will be LIMITED hair help at the competition, plan accordingly.
  • This is a prelims/finals show, we will not know if we make finals until the prelims awards presentation in the afternoon.
  • After we perform, you will change and not return to the buses until after prelims are over. Please bring money* and warm clothing as we will be outside the rest of the afternoon.
*concessions at SHI stadium are cashless
  • We will change after the finals awards presentation, so please bring clothing for the ride home (buses get cold overnight!)
  • Have a safe plan for getting home after we arrive at Woodson.
  • Remember to pack items for your show hair as needed.

This is the final show of our competitive season, ENJOY!

Frequently asked Questions

What do I do with my school backpack and gear on Friday? All gear remaining behind will be locked in a
rehearsal room until our return on Sunday morning. Remember to reclaim it upon return.

Do I need to bring money for food? The bus will stop at the Delaware House enroute to the hotel for dinner. Students and chaperones can purchase dinner there or bring something packed with them. Breakfast is provided at the hotel, but lunch will need to be purchased at the concessions stand during the event. Dinner will be provided by the patrons after the preliminaries are over. Any other food is the student’s responsibility. Note that SHI stadium is cashless.

How does this whole bag thing work? Student luggage that will be stowed under the bus (“Checked Bag”) should be brought to the band room with the bag form filled out/signed in the morning with the student’s name on a tag on the handle or brought to the band room right before rehearsal begins (Part 1 for bag drop off / Part 2 if parent inspects bag and PARENT must drop bag off). All bags will be inspected by parent volunteers for contraband while the students are at rehearsal, then locked away until loaded on the bus. Students can bring a “carry-on” bag to take with them on the bus. Students won’t have access to “Checked Bags” after they are inspected until we arrive at the hotel on Friday night. This inspection is required by FCPS.
